On May 8, 2021, American Red Cross volunteers visited with commuity members in Perry, Iowa and Columbus, Nebraska, to Sound the Alarm about home fire safety. Volunteers visited doorsteps to share valauble home fire prevention tips and help families set up home fire escape plans. In Columbus, thanks to a partnership with Slumberland Furnature, the Red Cross visited with those visiting the store about home fire safety.
